In a fit of cycling we surpassed our record and made 99.5kms today over rolling country and a headwind. We went up
the western side of Croatia (Istria), hugging the coast, and over the border to a small coastal town in Slovenia.
From there tomorrow we will cycle to Trieste in Italy, the closest major train center to where we are. Then we will
find a train or trains to Lucerne in Switzerland and cycle from there back to Germany. Well thats the plan this
week anyway. We have cycled over 1500kms so far this trip which is a nice number, it would be nice to break 2000kms
but we don't have the time. Looking at the map I wonder at the politics that managed to give Slovenia a little
piece of the mederterianian when it obviously should belong to either Italy or Croatia. Anyway, thats all at the
moment, words of wisdom and insight are temperaily on hold owing to being
somewhat knackered, and the effects of a beer.
